How to use Certifications & Memberships

Recognize membership and special levels of expertise with Certifications.


Certifications & Memberships Overview

Members of almost every association, organization and community need to be recognized for their participation and special levels of expertise.   “Certifications & Memberships” allows your organization, business or government to quickly and cost-effectively show the customers and friends of your members that “they belong” and are quality individuals or companies.   Whether recognizing association or chamber of commerce members, skilled tradesmen, quality suppliers or customers that achieve highest levels of product or service implementation, Certifications & Memberships is a powerful way to communicate their accomplishments.


How It Works
  1. From the “Marketplace” Navigation Bar Link or from My Profile, click on “Certifications & Memberships” and then “Add”.
  2. Choose the Community 2.0™ Website you belong to that you want this post to originate from in “Under” (only available when on Peoplemovers.com Community).
  3. Choose the level of privacy.  If you want this post to be broadcast across all communities that follow you, you must choose “Visible to All”.
  4. Create a Certification or Membership post Name and a Short Description.
  5. Upload a logo, photo or graphic that has been created for the Certification or Membership.  Please use jpeg format.
  6. Choose an Industry Category and Community Topic (what’s this) that this post most closely relates to.
  7. If you have created an Initiative (what’s this), you can link your post to it which will create more postings throughout the website and network.
  8. If you are accepting applications or nominations for this Certification or Membership from other Peoplemovers Community Network users, enter the Start and End Date.
  9. Enter the date you will be giving the Certification or Membership.
  10. Enter the Contact Name with his or her contact info.
  11. If you want to link to another website, include entire web address in Website Link.
    People and groups can “Apply” for Certification or Membership online using this post. 
  12. However, if you’d like to link to another nomination system and disable this feature of Peoplemovers.com, copy and paste the entire website link they should go to.
  13. Type or copy and paste more Description information you want to share.
  14. Click Save!

Tips for Use
  • Make sure you “Share” your post with all of your friends and groups and “Broadcast Online” to your favorite social media sites.  This will increase your visibility and draw more people to your profile and/or Community 2.0™ Website.
  • “Share” the Certifications post with those you want to specially apply and recognize.
  • Create Membership posts for your association members.
  • Non-profits, churches, associations and governments can promote Marketplace as a powerful way to support the people and businesses that support them.
  • Ask other organizations with Community 2.0™ Websites to follow you so your posts can instantly reach their people and organizations.
